- Support Projects/Programs for Sanitation & Health Water, Sanitation & Hygiene at community level
- Conduct Seminars, Workshops, Symposia related to Health & Sanitation
- Support Monitoring & Evaluation; undertake Impact Studies of Programs, Schemes, Projects, Initiatives relating to Nutrition, Health, Water & Sanitation Systems.
- Support and strengthen Public health, nutrition, sanitation delivery systems to ensure quality, efficiency and effective delivery of citizen services. Provide relief and rehabilitation support to the needy during environmental and health calamities
Health Initiatives
- Infrastructure improvement support to Government Hospitals: Bapatla Area Hospital - Electrical Fittings (Fans, Lights, Switchboards, etc.) were repaired and replaced at the cost of about Rs.2,50,000/-
- Emergency Health Care support: The Foundation supplemented health care treatment to 4 critically ill patients @ Rs.10,000/- each.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Gowravam Sanitation project was aimed at achieving the seventh millennium development goal of providing ISLs to the poor households in Narasayapalem village in Bapatla Mandal, Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh.
The project ensures the sustainability of the intervention by encouraging community ownership, developing linkages with local government, and encouraging local entrepreneurs to supply low-cost hardware, etc.
IMPACT
ISLs to 603 poor households have been provided, thus far breaking the cycle of contamination caused by open defecation, contaminated water, and unsafe hygiene practices.
