Gowravam Foundation is a registered Non-Government Organization based in Hyderabad, Telangana State, India. GF works on issues directly at the community level or in strategic partnership with the Government, other non- profit entities, and business leadership to strengthen systems to improve access to water and sanitation, health facilities, and quality education for the underprivileged.

Our programs are focused on rural communities, children, and schools across the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Join us, and together we can provide clean water and sanitation and help improve health facilities and the quality of school education, one community at a time.

Kanneganti Sandhya Rani (IPoS) Retd

Secretary & Founder Member

Inspired by her passion for service and education, Sandhya Rani founded the nonprofit GowravamFoundation in 2015. She has contributed immensely to the education sector for over a decade.

K. Sandhya Rani belongs to the Indian Postal Service and has had an illustrious career with varied experience in divergent fields. She has experience working with International Agencies – World Bank, DFID, ILO, UNDP. She has also partnered with International & National NGOs, including CARE, Action Aid, PRIA, APMAS, etc.
She retired from service in 2021.

She has a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Master of Arts in Political Science & International Relations from the University of Hyderabad.

During her tenure, she opted for deputation to work as the Commissioner of School Education in the Government of Andhra Pradesh and spearheaded first-of-its-kind initiatives to transform the school education system by leveraging technology. This immensely helped improve student learning outcomes, facilitating teachers’ professional development, consolidation of government schools, and improving governance by putting transparent and accountable administrative processes in place.

She is a Board Member of the North South Foundation (NSF) and NIRMAAN, Founder Member – CRISP, Trustee – Commitments, APMAS, and President – Sangam Lakshmibai Vidyapeeth.
